The finest quality available. It is an excellent solvent for thinning oil paints, various painting mediums, and varnishes, as well as for cleaning brushes and tools.

When added to oil paints, it should only be used in the first paint layer. If used undiluted in subsequent layers, it can make the layer too thin and increase the risk of cracking. Turpentine thins oil paint, making it leaner and duller, easier to adhere to the surface, and reduces brush marks. Store turpentine in a sealed bottle and preferably in a dark place to prevent resinification.
