Viscous, artist-quality acrylic paint, particularly suitable for impasto techniques and creating textures. With Heavy Body Acrylics, the result is richly pigmented, satin-like, and permanent. Due to the thickness of the paint, brush and palette knife marks remain visible. Some colors are cadmium-free.
Heavy Body paints can be used confidently for techniques such as impasto and 3D effects without the fear of cracking after drying. The unique design technology of the colors ensures surface flexibility and a durable outcome.
Like other Liquitex products, Heavy Body paints have been tested for lightfastness. The colors remain durable, bright, and resistant to fading. The resin used in the colors has a mild odor and employs modern acrylic resin technology. Consequently, the paint does not dry too quickly, and the colors remain bright and clear. The surface is highly flexible, UV-resistant, and waterproof when dry. The colors also do not yellow over time.
Liquitex Heavy Body Acrylics are safe to use: the Art and Creative Materials Institute has tested the series of shades and they have received the “Approved Safety (AP)” safety certificate. This means that the products do not contain excessive amounts of ingredients that could be harmful or cause health problems.

Liquitex Professional Satin Medium provides acrylic paints with a beautiful satin (semi-gloss) finish, enhances color depth and transparency. It improves the flow of thick paints and extends the color without compromising their properties – maintaining color durability and longevity. The medium can also be used as a non-removable satin varnish for acrylic paints and is excellent for lightweight materials as a collage adhesive and image transfer medium.
The medium can be thinned with water up to 25%. For best results, use distilled water.
You can mix the medium into the paint as much as desired to increase flow and transparency.

Priming the painting surface black creates stunning contrasts and brings out the shades of white in an unprecedented way. Liquitex Colored Gesso does not yellow, is flexible, non-cracking, and provides a gripping surface for paints on wood, paper, and canvas surfaces.
Usage:
Use undiluted or thin the gesso with a maximum of 25% water. If you thin the black gesso with more than 25% water, use an equal amount of Liquitex Matte Medium (50/50) for thinning. You can tint the black gesso with Liquitex Heavy Body Artist Colors. One coat of primer is sufficient.

Liquitex Professional Crackle Paste allows you to create crackling effects in your artwork. The paste can be used as is, applied on top of other layers, or mixed with acrylic paint (15% paint, 85% paste). Do not thin with water or medium. Crackle Paste works best on rigid surfaces.
Apply a 5 – 10 mm layer of Crackle Paste onto the surface using a palette knife and let it dry for at least 24 hours. Thicker layers will result in more pronounced cracks, but they will also increase drying time. Do not attempt to speed up drying with a hair dryer, as this may prevent cracks from forming at all.

Liquitex Professional Flexible Modeling Paste is a paste made from 100% acrylic polymer and marble dust, used to create flexible shapes and structures. It hardens to a very tough yet flexible, matte, and opaque white surface suitable for slightly flexible surfaces. It can be used as is, mixed with paint, or painted over once dried.
It dries slower than other modeling pastes and shrinks very little, if at all. It is suitable as a ground for acrylic, oil, and watercolor paints, as well as for dry pastels.
Usage:
- Apply with a palette knife or other tools.
- Can be tinted with acrylic paints.
- Can be handled like clay – remove the cap and allow some of the water content in the product to evaporate until the consistency is suitable for your purpose.
- To create sculptural textures, it’s best to build layers gradually, applying thin layers one at a time and allowing each to dry before adding a new layer.
- To avoid cracking, dry slowly – loosely cover with plastic wrap and allow to dry. Any cracks that may appear can be repaired by applying a thin layer of the product over the dried layer.

Usage:
- You can thin the medium with water (max 25%).
- You can mix Slow-Dri Medium into acrylic paints and other painting mediums as much as needed to achieve the right consistency. The more medium you use, the more transparent and thinner the paint becomes.
- You can mix the medium with the paint on the palette to keep the paints usable for longer without the colors “skinning” on the palette.
