Liquitex Gold Metallic Medium allows you to add a lustrous golden quality to your acrylic color without affecting its acrylic stability or performance.
Used to build three-dimensionality and provide sturdy support. Dries rock hard. Can be sanded with sandpaper once dry. Adheres to non-oily, porous objects. When mixed with acrylic paints, it behaves like a white mixing color, thickening the paint.
Liquitex Professional Satin Medium provides acrylic paints with a beautiful satin (semi-gloss) finish, enhances color depth and transparency. It improves the flow of thick paints and extends the color without compromising their properties – maintaining color durability and longevity. The medium can also be used as a non-removable satin varnish for acrylic paints and is excellent for lightweight materials as a collage adhesive and image transfer medium.
The medium can be thinned with water up to 25%. For best results, use distilled water.
You can mix the medium into the paint as much as desired to increase flow and transparency.
Liquitex Professional Crackle Paste allows you to create crackling effects in your artwork. The paste can be used as is, applied on top of other layers, or mixed with acrylic paint (15% paint, 85% paste). Do not thin with water or medium. Crackle Paste works best on rigid surfaces.
Apply a 5 – 10 mm layer of Crackle Paste onto the surface using a palette knife and let it dry for at least 24 hours. Thicker layers will result in more pronounced cracks, but they will also increase drying time. Do not attempt to speed up drying with a hair dryer, as this may prevent cracks from forming at all.
Liquitex Professional Flexible Modeling Paste is a paste made from 100% acrylic polymer and marble dust, used to create flexible shapes and structures. It hardens to a very tough yet flexible, matte, and opaque white surface suitable for slightly flexible surfaces. It can be used as is, mixed with paint, or painted over once dried.
It dries slower than other modeling pastes and shrinks very little, if at all. It is suitable as a ground for acrylic, oil, and watercolor paints, as well as for dry pastels.
Usage:
Liquitex Professional Slow-Dri Medium extends the “open” or working time of acrylic paints by up to 40% compared to normal, making it easier to create blends and gradients, and increases transparency. With the medium, you can extend the paint without compromising its properties.
Usage:
Liquitex Slow-Dri Fluid Additive slows down the drying time of acrylic paints by up to 40% without altering the paint’s opacity. It can be mixed directly into paint or painting mediums. It lowers the viscosity of the paint.
Note! Add a maximum of 25% Slow-Dri Fluid Additive to paint or medium – using too much may cause cracking of the paint film and potential shrinkage.
Liquitex Professional Slow-Dri Gel Additive extends the “open” or working time of acrylic paints by up to 40% without altering the paint’s transparency. It increases viscosity and thickens the paint, leaving visible brush or palette knife strokes.
Usage:
NOTE: The additive does not contain binders and should not be added to paint more than 25% or to other additives. Excessive use of the additive can weaken the surface of acrylic paint, leaving the finish sticky and prone to wrinkling.
Talens Gum Arabic enhances the transparency and gloss of watercolors. It can be mixed with watercolors or inks to improve their flow and adhesion.
Talens liquid masking fluid is suitable for use with watercolors and water-based inks. Cover the areas where you don’t want color with the masking fluid. Dries in about 10 minutes. Remove the dried masking fluid within a few days, as it becomes harder to remove over time. May stain cellulose paper.
Ox gall liquid is suitable for use when the surface to be painted repels water and water-based paint does not adhere. Treat the desired surface by rubbing it evenly with a cloth dampened with ox gall liquid. The liquid can also be mixed into the paint.
