Permanence of Colors on Different Surfaces:
- Paper, cardboard, and primed canvas, among other porous surfaces, absorb the color, making it permanent as it is.
- For permanent color on stone, plastic, metal, and wood, apply varnish on top.
- On fabric, the color is more permanent when you iron it from the other side. After more than 20 washes, the color may start to fade, at which point you can redraw the designs with Posca markers.
- For ceramics, you can achieve permanent color by firing it in the oven at 220 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes, followed by applying varnish.
- For porcelain, you can achieve permanent color by firing it in the oven at 160 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes, followed by applying varnish.
- For glass, you can achieve hand-wash resistance by firing it in the oven at 160 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes, followed by applying varnish.
