Tjanting Can
A traditional tool used for patterning fabrics (e.g., in Eastern and African textiles and batik) featuring a spout at the end of the handle. The tjanting can also be used to “draw” on paintings!
Instructions:
- Dilute the color to a very fluid consistency.
- For best results, work on the piece at approximately a 45° angle to the horizontal.
- Clean thoroughly after use to prevent the spout from clogging.
