Gel printing plates, various sizes

Gel printing plate for creating prints on paper and even fabric. Use with water-based colors, such as acrylic paints.

Instructions:

1. Remove the protective film from the plate and apply a small amount of color to the plate—just a pea-sized amount is sufficient.
2. Roll the color on to the plate.
3. If you want patterns in your work, you can use items such as texture combs, stencils, pieces of string, bubble wrap, cut-out paper shapes, etc. The possibilities with gel printing are endless!
4. Avoid scratching or scraping the plate. Transfer the color to paper by gently rubbing. Thinner papers are easier to handle, but almost any paper will work.

You don’t necessarily need to clean the plate between prints, but if desired, you can wash it with mild soap and water.
