Gamblin Cold Wax Medium

A thick paint and varnish for oil paints made from beeswax.

It dries slowly. It makes oil paints thicker and more matte. It is excellent for palette knife and impasto techniques. The hardness of the painted surface is similar to that of a wax candle. It can be added to Gamblin mediums to increase their matteness. It can be used as a varnish on its own. It does not yellow. It can be thinned with Gamsol.
