Arteljee is a Finnish family-owned business. The current ownership has been in place since 2014. Arteljee was originally established in Helsinki at the turn of the 80s and 90s as the first of its kind. It then moved to Tampere, while the art supplies segment in Helsinki continued under the name Tuubi. In 2014, the owner of Kehysliike Malki purchased Arteljee’s business. Initially, Arteljee was an art supplies store associated with a framing business, which grew year by year into a standalone location, first on Hallituskatu and now, starting in early 2024, in new premises of up to 300 square meters on Kuninkaankatu in the heart of Tampere. In 2022, Arteljee acquired the Tuubi business from Helsinki. The old Tuubi location on Lönnrotinkatu now operates as Arteljee’s Helsinki branch.

The Tampere store is the main store, which houses all products and manages the online store. The Helsinki location does not have every product category, particularly the new Arteljee Crafts line, which was introduced in its entirety at the new Tampere store and online in 2024. We will replenish the Helsinki store based on demand.

The framing service of Kehysliike Malki operates in Kaleva, Tampere. Framing orders can be taken to Arteljee’s Helsinki branch. The Tampere city center location no longer accepts framing work; instead, we direct custom framing jobs to Kaleva. From the Kuninkaankatu store, you can find a wide range of ready-made frames, mats, backing boards, hanging accessories, and hanging rail systems.
